I would love to see a larger full-sized image.
If I did this piece I would use a different colour filter - I would my favourite; a Histogram Adjustment, -25 red, +25 blue. You can see the sorts of colours that would produce with [link] - albeit that has been fine-tuned more, by lessening the saturation a tad.
Please note that you have to start from a greyscale image, if you start from a green-toned image the effect will be different.
If you wouldn't mind; I could show you a modified version of the image, which would be stored temporarily on my photobucket account?

The red-high / blue-low version was made using Histogram Adjustment red -25, blue +25
The blue-high / red-low version was made using Histogram Adjustment red+25, blue -25
and...
The more fiddled with version, I used the red-high version but faded the top part into just blueness.
